Expanded Parking and New Emergency Department Will Enhance Care and Service

Have you heard the news? The Parking Structure and Emergency Department at San Rafael Medical Center are expanding to better serve
our members and neighboring community.

Construction on the Parking Structure has already begun, with 309 additional parking spaces and a seismic retrofit scheduled for completion by summer 2012. To ensure convenient parking during the multi-phase construction, members and visitors are receiving complimentary
valet parking services.

Once the parking structure is completed, construction will begin on an expanded and relocated Emergency Department.
The new state-of-the-art department will better accommodate advanced medical equipment and help ensure the best care and service
for our members. Completion is slated for late 2013.

Throughout construction, our top priority is providing our members, visitors, and neighbors utmost care and consideration. We appreciate your patience during this exciting time.

Construction Updates

Important Safety & Parking Messages!

  • Construction zones are inherently dangerous places.
  • Pedestrians need to be extra careful when walking through the parking lots and near the construction site.

February 20th - March 4th

  • Preparation of 2nd floor framework and reinforced bar to hold concrete slab. First concrete deck pouring planned for next week.
  • Fireline work continues at the MOB I and Hospital turnaround area, including tree removal for road widening to improve safety.
  • Continue installation of new lighting fixtures and seismic retrofit of existing Parking Structure

• Trucks entering and exiting construction access road only.

Other Facility Updates/Moves

  • The newly renovated and relocated MOB II Pharmacy is now open just inside the front doors of MOB II, 1st floor.

Your safety and convenience is our top concern. To provide better service for our members and visitors during construction, we now offer free on-campus valet parking services, in addition to self-park lots. Click here to download a printable parking map.

Free Valet Parking – No Charge or Gratuity:

  • Parking Lot A Medical Office Building II, Corner of Nova Albion Way and Montecillo Road
    Valet Hours: Mon.-Fri.  8:30 a.m.- 5 p.m. 
    Please enter via Montecillo Road
  • Parking Structure Hospital Main Entrance
    Valet Hours: Mon.-Fri. 8 a.m.- 5:30 p.m.

Self Parking:

  • Parking Lot B Off of Montecillo Road, Emergency Department entrance
    For Emergency Department visits, and as space allows, Radiology and Lab appointments.
  • Parking Lot C Off of Montecillo Road, Dermatology Entrance
    For Dermatology, Mohs, Plastic Surgery, and MRI appointments.

Key Pick-Up After Valet is Closed
Keys may be picked up at the Security Office on the 1st floor of Medical Office Building I,
across from the Emergency Department. For assistance call Security at (415) 444-2200.
